Lori, sorry this is late... made contact with a board member and this info helped...
Will host them tomorrow in Florida if necessary. Looks like I may have to meet them in Mobile... or just westward.
Of course I've warned them of the danger of coming to Navarre as well. But at least we are boarded here and prepared.

I'm in New Orleans and I'm scared.
They are opening it at 8 AM tomorrow.
Any idea how many people they will accept there? Having night-marish visions of 50,000 people in one small space. I guess its safer than being in the "bowl". I guess as a last resort, what else can some people do?

I just got this:
just got an obviously rushed email from Jan...
"Prayers work...getting out of N.O. ... thanks to all for prayers."
I suppose this means she's heading for safety, thank God! Please keep praying and hopefully Jan will be in touch once the storm passes.
THank you all for your help and prayers!!!!!!!

I have family in Gulfport. I spoke with them late last night and told them to get out and come here. They were leaving early this morning and hopefully I will hear from them soon. I am so afraid there won't be anything for anyone to go back to. My prayers to all those affected by this hurricane.
