I am sure glad I got my Destin, Florida vacation over with now. Even then, we had an upper low over us. And it rained like crazy the first 2 and half days of our vacation. We did not think it would ever stop. I was in our condo in almost tears because I thought our vacation was ruined. Because the weather channel said that the upper low was going to sit on top of us the whole week we were there. Luckily after the 2 and half days of constant rain, it cleared up and we had beautiful weather the rest of the week. Just goes to show you that anything the least bit tropical seems to want to go to the panhandle.

I just read that on Channel 4 New Orleans forums. It will be an interesting week! And with those warm temps, it could be a major cane at that. But, I am jumping ahead of myself. My dad leaves to go offshore tomorrow for his week hitch. But, when he returns on Aug. 30th. My mom and dad are going on vacation for 2 weeks. Grand Canyon and then all the way to Yellowstone. If anything tropical happens while they are gone, I will be left to deal with it myself.

Lots of things can still happen. Models are still flip flopping. One model even takes it to the Carolinas and not the gulf. Anything could happen. But, that would be the worst case scenerio. Because the water temps are 90 degrees in some locations. And that landfall would put it almost where Audrey landed.
