Just drove east on 90 from Gulfport to Biloxi. Tide's up about 3 feet, sand blowing across the highway - especially near the Navy Home. Seas in the Sound are running about 2-3 feet with very little duration between them - quite choppy. Guarantee Treasure Bay is rockin' and rollin'!! Least Terns are quite peeved about the change in conditions... But the Jet Ski places are open for business!!

My grandparents, uncle and cousin live in MS. In Kiln (right outside Picayune) just over the MS State line. I have not had any reports from them. But, it should stay to there east. I am going for landfall near the MS/Al state line.

I live an hour southwest of New Orleans. So, blue skies and sunshine over here. We won't see any affects from Arlene at all. I just wanted to see some rain. Because I got to work all weekend straight through. And seeing sunny skies while you are stuck at work, is depressing.

Cajungal, Kiln is just north of Diamondhead, so check dhweather's reports or his website for really local weather.

I drove from Bay St Louis to Pass Christian this afternoon around 3pm. Tide is up about 1/3 of way to seawall. Sound has plenty of whitecaps. Tropical Storm Warning penants are flying at the Pass Christian small craft harbor.....MGC

Ok, walked over to Beach Blvd. Tide is falling so water not quite as high as it was. There is trash debri on the north side of Beach Blvd. where the waves where throwing it over the seawall at noonish. Just a few white caps but a steady breaze from the south east. No rain, a few dark clouds overhead.

EOC Very slow

#32 Postby HarrisonEOC » Fri Jun 10, 2005 5:07 pm

Very slow here. Assuming this storm stays on the current forcasted track we will not experience much winds or storm conditions.

Well, it's a sunny and toasty evening in Hancock county.

at 7:30PM, its 81 degrees, east wind at 10-15, barometer is 29.77 and falling

Unless Arlene makes a dramatic shift in course, we won't see much more than this from her.

Yes, other then the Gulf causing the rivers to rise conditions seem to be very quiet. I live less then 1/2 mile from the river and some of my neighbors that live on the river have brought their boats, cars and other recreational vehicles up to higher land but surprising not that many of them have. It looks like maybe this is the worst we will see out of Arlene yet. I forecasted that it would go to Pensacola a couple of days ago and although I dont wish it on us here I really hate it for the folks that are in areas still recovering from Ivan. My thoughts are with our panhandle friends tonight!

Pebbles, its an old wives tale that they go to their nest when a storm is coming.
