Isn't it nice?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

I second that, Perry ... 50-60 hours of work at the Post Office, PLUS 20-30 hours spent on the website/boards forecasting/tracking storm after storm pummeling the US (in particular, Florida) AND NO days off for 18 straight days isn't conducive for good health, a good temperment, and rest. Sleep deprivation rules supreme and finally, a night where I MIGHT actually get more than 4 hours of sleep ...

Early season snowstorm? You betcha ... and hopefully, we'll see quite a few of them this upcoming winter ...

The past couple nights I've re-discovered the pleasure of un-interrupted sleep (no jumping out of bed every 3 hrs to check latest advisories, model data, satellite after the eclipse, etc)....finally interested in football (Falcons are 3-0 whoo-hoo!!). I've been so engrossed in tracking hurricanes, I only learned (sadly I might add) yesterday that one of my favorite singers (Laura Branigan) passed away a few weeks ago (in sad irony, she died from a brain aneurism..same thing that ended my mom's life in 77' :(

As I said...this break is really nice...and well needed. Of course, as is inevitable with all storm enthusiasts, a nice, calm break will probably become extreme boredom in a few weeks unless something else develops....a major storm of some type, somewhere.

In fact, unless there's a major storm before November 1st, I'll probably go bonkers from boredom.....so is anyone else ready for a record breaking, early season southern snowstorm? ;) :D

Hopefully the lull wont last long and we'll have an exciting remainder of the season---Its boring without hurricanes to track, No landfalls to predict etc... Still plenty of time for the big one though 8-)

Yes amen to that. Hopefully a nice one week lull to cool us all down then a major storm of the century. Maybe something like the Perfect Storm.
