Why doesn't NHC forcast agree w/models?

Be comforted, then, by the fact that they forecast only 115 mph a bit before landfall. Yesterday, Ivan was 160 mph.

and they predicted category 2-3 landfall for Charley. I'm not comforted.

Well, if you're going to refuse comfort from what they think is going to happen, you may as well ignore the forecasts. Why worry that the bad they forecast is going to happen, but the good they forecast isn't? Take the good with the bad.
