This is just what we need here in Fl..

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Hi all I'm new here. They just put up a flood warning for us here on the east coast of florida in hobe sound. I have been reading your posts and I have seen posts that say that a tropical system might be coming on the back of this storm that we are currently being hammered with. What are the chances of this? Will it be tomorrow or the day after? Thanks

Hello, Al. Nice to have you join us here at Storm2K.

The tropical disturbance in the western Caribbean as had potential for tropical development the last several days. This morning the chances decreased some, but that didn't last too long.

Some computer forecast model guidance have the system moving westward toward Mexico and/or Texas and others toward Florida.

Over the last several days, the chance of rain was not even 10%. I didn't think it made much sense, this morning the rain chances have gone up to 50% to 60% for Sumter county and northern Lake county.

MF Dolphin:

When you come to Naples, let me know, I'd like to join you on the boat. Tarpon fishing sounds good too! If this rain thing pans out, we might be able to do that right on the roads here-no need to go to Boca Grande.
