my dad passed away in 88' so it definetly was not kyle. It was before 1962 or a little after that in regards to the tropical storm my dad was talking about. :roll:

Looks like the UKMET expects Kate to stall, meander southward for a while, accelerate west again only to be blocked by the high and THEN move south to SW... quite interesting.

A southward loop instead I guess.

Kate becoming a hurricane is not in the cards anymore as center is exposed and system is being sheared badly.It may well be non tropical very soon.
