SOUTH AMERICA...AND ATLANTIC OCEAN TO THE AFRICAN COAST FROM THE
EQUATOR TO 32N. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS BASED ON SATELLITE
IMAGERY...METEOROLOGICAL ANALYSIS...WEATHER OBSERVATIONS...AND
RADAR.

BASED ON 1800 UTC SURFACE ANALYSIS AND SATELLITE IMAGERY THROUGH
2300 UTC...

...TROPICAL WAVES...

TROPICAL WAVE HAS PUSHED OFF THE COAST OF AFRICA ALONG 18W S OF
13N MOVING W 10-15 KT. A DRY LOW-LEVEL VORTICITY CENTER IS AHEAD
OF THE WAVE CENTERED BY A 1009 MB LOW NEAR 14N21W. UPPER-AIR
TIME SECTION ANALYSIS FROM DAKAR SENEGAL INDICATES THIS LOW
CENTER PASSING AROUND 06/20 0000 UTC. TOTAL PRECIPITABLE WATER
IMAGERY ALSO INDICATES A DRY CIRCULATION ABOUT THE LOW CENTER
WITH A PEAK IN DEEP LAYER MOISTURE TO THE E ALONG THE WAVE AXIS.
SCATTERED MODERATE/STRONG CONVECTION IS FROM 4N-10N BETWEEN
16W-23W. ISOLATED MODERATE/STRONG CONVECTION IS FROM 4N-8N
BETWEEN 23W-28W.

SST's in the area are still above average...wind shear is still below average....can never discount anything. Perhaps we will see a mention in the TWO soon if the convection persists.

I don't think general instablity is quite enough in this region right now to get anything going, 92L did come close but conditions aren't quite as good for this one as they were for 92L.

Definitely think I have never seen a wave train quite like this before in June.

Thats certainly an explosive looking wave, wouldn't like to see that coming off Africa in late August/early September time, as it is it'll probably end up not quite making it across just yet because conditions aloft still aren't quite there.
