Petarmigan,these data are issued from the weather analysis that are given on the TWD ,and before the web,from the analysis that i heard by listening the radio brodcast.I got weather observations since 1962 in Guadeloupe.
For the number of waves,you can obtained them on the "Monthly weather review" in the articles named" Atlantic tropical disturbances of 19.."

Excused me ,but i cannot give you directly the links,because i don't know :oops: I hope that gusty will give me some lessons to send links or photos on this board!!!

Looks fairly weak. Should be inland over South America in a few days.

I meant the ITCZ, not a particular wave.

It shows how quite other basins are at the moment, that this is the most interesting thing to track.

I found this one from 1967-1996, which has number of tropical waves forming.
