Don't worry, no development. Could be a few scattered storms out there. GFS indicating ESE-SE winds 8-12 kts Sat-Sun with waves in the 2-3 ft range. Looks reasonable. Good sharkin' weather.

A little ot, but... I did all my sharkin' off my surfboard or the beach in P'cola. Who needs a boat?

It's being sheared pretty good but check out the little swirl @26.4 N 86.75 W before daylight is gone.

the buoy just a tad SE of that point not showing anything.

Re: Wave in Southeastern GOM
Is this the weather that is supposed to head towards the MS and LA coastlines and bring lots of rain? We've had pretty good rains here but we can still use some more. Our local MET as well as a few of the NOLA Mets have mentioned the possibility of our area receiving some rain from this system.

I've been gettin' some mighty good rains here this morning and I hear more thunder to my south and more rain seems to be headed my way according to the latest radar. My brother in SE Texas would sure like to have some of this rain.

Re: Wave in Southeastern GOM
Quick moving Upper Low should help us with increased rain chances tomorrow into Monday in SE TX.

Re: Wave in Southeastern GOM
I hope that you good neighbors there in Texas get the much needed rainfall of which you are in dire need. We could use some more here in SW LA as well, but I know that you need it more (fingers crossed for luck for you).

Extreme downpours with lots of thunder and lightning today. We had three rounds of it.

Lots of cloud cover and thunder here today but not a drop of rain in my neck of the woods.
