The numbers will change at 7:00 PM EST to coincide with 00:00z time.After the 2nd of April which is the start of daylight savings time the change will be at 8:00 PM EDT.

Countdown Ticker below with days,hours,minutes and seconds.

Important dates prior to June 1:

1-March 15=Official Storm2k forecast Numbers Poll will start.

2- March 20=Official Start of Spring (Vernal Equinox) at 1:26 PM EST.

3- April 2=Daylight Savings Time begins.

4-April 4=Philip J. Klotzbach/Dr William Gray April 2006 outlook.

5-April 10-14=Hurricane Conference,Orlando,Fla.

6-April 24-28=27th Conference on Hurricanes and Tropical Meteorology,Monterey,California.

7-Around Mid-May=NOAA first 2006 hurricane season outlook.

8- May 15= EPAC hurricane season starts.

9- May 29=Memorial Day.

10- May 31=Philip J. Klotzbach/Dr William Gray hours before 2006 season starts outlook.


Note=If anyone knows the exact date when NOAA will release their mid-may outlook you can post it and I will include it at the important dates list.

Also if anyone knows of another important date that is not listed here please let me know.

Geez. This countdown is sure going by fast. Feels like a dejavu to last year. It was started 33 days ago, and in only 33 days we will be down to 47 days :eek: .

before you know it Seniorprep will start posting Recon data and cycloneeye will be posting a storm discussion thread as well as the advisories from the NHC not only that we will start watching Max Mayfield with that oh no worst case scenario look on his face

I'll allready be monitoring the Caribbean and ITCZ zone come Mid/Late April considering the spin-ups we have allready been seeing. You never truly know what is gonna happen.
