NHC keeps saying there's a low, but they didn't on't show it on the 18z surface map, and didn't mention a low in 8pm TWD. I'll post this scatterometer again, I think it got lost at bottom of earlier page. It's from pass at 20z

I think here we go is right. Monitoring the global models over the past few days I have noticed a trend showing development after waves moving off of the African coast.

NHC says there is a surface low, so I guess I will go with that for now. I really wonder what I'll wake up to tomorrow. Wouldn't be surprised to see a "TD 3 models, comments, and discussions" thread.

It was taken between 20Z-21Z this afternoon. I don't see anything but black rain-contaminated flags around 9N/32W. Is there another image somewhere?

Hmm, I can't make out an LLC on the QS image anywhere near 9N/30-32W:

This is about to go through a pocket of increased shear so don't flake out on this system if it doesn't develop into a TD tommorrow. Looks promising but I'd give it until Saturday to reach TD status. That said, if it holds together through this pocket, this is the type of system that could go straight to named status.

WHOOPS!!!!!

Time for my 25 lashes

I for some strange reason (well, I was irate at Atlantic Broadband and didnt look carefully) placed a low center at 34N, which is just an axis upon closer examination
