There's actually less convection now than there was at any other time. This isn't going to develop, and anything that is here will be killed when the next front moves through (which shouldn't be long).

Even though it will not develop - it is amazing we are not even in May yet and we have an "invest."

More amazing is that this topic has been with two threads with 18 pages combined for something that has been non-tropical from the moment the invest was issued.

I don't see anybody freaking out over this, everybody pretty much agrees this won't develop. The thread is open to discuss so we are discussing. There's not much else to talk about.

As long as this thing is still here, there is something to talk about.

This has about as much validity to talk about as a polar low near Iceland.

Convection around that old frontal boundary is waning this evening and the low doesnt look as good as it did earlier in the day. So if it had a chance at all its about gone now. Closer scrutiny revealed conditions even more hostile than what I originally thought.

Yeah, I agree. I thought there was a slight chance for an Ana-like scenario, but I doubted it would happen. I still doubt it now... the environment and synoptics just arn't favorable. Besides, this WAS a test after all.
