There is really just so much to discuss after this VERY informative show from all sides! This was definately Talkin Tropics at it's best! Kudos, Mike, and the others (including Bastardi) for participating!

This show really opened up many opinions, views, and points that were needed!

By the by... welcome to storm2k if you haven't been welcomed yet. Sometimes we get so many people joining when storms threaten that it's hard to notice who is who...

I joined almost a week ago and I think you already welcomed me!! I will check my topic for that.

That was a rather interesting show. Ask a question, and get a whole plethora of answers, some of which were quite informative and entertaining at the same time. Did not expect that actually. JB seemed to really enjoy doing the show, and I think MW did a good job hosting someone with that type of personality. Hopefully there will be more shows to come.

Here's the link to the archive. It's a big file as the show ran over 2 hours:

Please let me know if you have any problems downloading the file.

That 1947 track is one of those doomsday tracks that were made up a while ago. I think we might see that type of track this year.

Is there a logical reason you feel this way?

In a short answer: No. But this type of track could have occurred in 2004. Frances maybe?

There have been 19 named storms across the various basins down there this season. The year before had 28 with a mean number of 23.1 from 1994-1995 to 2005-2006. In that time it has ranged from 16 to 29 so I'm not sure this is too much of an indicator to North Atlantic activity.

I enjoyed that show a lot, just listened to it for the last 2 and a half hours or so, I liked it when JB asked about the longest interveiw record!
