I also think we will see some early storms this year. The water temps are very warm in the Gulf it is kinda getting me nervous for my friends and family down in the Panhandle of Florida.

Because it was made before the new rule? Also 10 pages are going to go by 3 or 4 times a day once the hurricane season starts. I say up that to at least 20 to 25 pages.

I don't disagree with you Matt. 10 pages will go fast, and maybe there's a better number like, 20. But, if I understood Luis, it's a matter of drain on the server, and ultimately, costs. I'm certainly willing to be inconvenienced a little bit all the time to prevent the whole site going down in the 'thick' of some hairy storm. And, this one is WAY over 20... it's taking long to open now, demonstrating just what Luis said.

In a favorable enviroment, anything headed NW/N/W in the Gulf will have the potential to be a MONSTER if the water temp trend continues. Let's hope other factors will hinder any GOM storm.

It looks like it is going to be a hairy year for the Gulf Of Mexico. By the way the SSTs are looking.

on this graphic if conditions were right all around florida the gulf mexico, and the carribean and parts of the atlantic would support a CAT 3 TO CAT4 hurricane.
