Considering the trip from St. Croix to Dennis is fairly short, it doesn't surprise me they are hauling ass. Fuel burn goes up tremendously between low cruise power settings and high cruise power settings (which they are apparently at)...but since they aren't far from home, they can afford to burn alot of fuel.

Indeed, there are more than a few sites up there that need to be updated as they continue to list the older C-130H as the plane being used. The C-130J is indeed faster...

If these start popping out late, it's only going to fuel the AccuWX/anti-NWS folks more.

And I wouldn't blame them in this narrow case.

perhaps AccuWeather should have their own planes...after all they are a for profit entity.
