Last year, we had plywood up on the three sliding glass doors. It stayed up from Sept through about mid-Nov. It sucked, made the back of the house dark. But the hurricanes kept threatening. :/

We get our shutters on Monday if they don't reschedule again. (Have done so twice.) For upstairs and the 3 sliding glass doors downstairs, we're getting the pull close accordion ones. To save money, the other 2 windows and the door will be the panel type. I'd rather the accordions for those too, but the entire thing was tremendously expensive. :(

The price of living in "paradise".
