well, I am not on the Island, I live between hou. and gal., and It does not hurt to take a wait and see attitude. It does not mean that I am not going to evacuate if needed, I can do without the presumptions from people reading a little too deep into the message.

a little advice: last week, when dennis was threatening our area, i went to get gas thurs. evening. at that time, dennis was not even in cuba, yet, and we were not under a hurricane watch. there were lines 3 cars deep at the gas stations here! people around here went into prep mode very early, probably after being brushed by ivan last year and seeing what he did just east of here. so, get things done early, esp. getting gas, if you can.

I know this - I'll help HurryKane get the rest of her shutter down tonight
or tomorrow.

Unless something EXTREMELY RADICAL happens in the next 72 hours,
Emily is most likely a threat to South Texas.

Read it this morning and take note.

Nothing alarming, just precautionary........;)

I am really torn, fiance thinks we should get prepared but I am not convinced yet. I really don't think it's coming this far north.

That being said he will have a list of things to take care of tomorrow while I am busy with wedding planning. And my sister is due to have her baby in a week, this is just awful timing!!!!

Just send Jeff a PM and request to be added to his Email list.

He usually posts in the tropical analysis forum.
