TPA Saturday 1pm

#1 Postby stormie » Fri Jul 08, 2005 10:20 am

My mother-in-law is scheduled to fly out of Tampa at 1pm tomorrow. If the current NHC project track verifies, does anyone have an opinion on weather (pun intended) or not she'll beat the storm out of here?

She went through Jeanne with us...I think if she's stuck here for Dennis, even if we just get some rain bands, that she will never come back to FL!

I imagine that the flight would go as long as there is no lightning around the airport and the wind wasn't too bad. I used to fly for Southwest, and we would take off in some weather that I would not think we could take off in. The landing is the trickier part anyhow, wind-wise at least. Just get her to the airport early and make sure she is prepared to sit around a while to account for delays coming from south of us.

That's a good point - I didn't think about delays. This could be tricky! Well, she plans to get to the airport 3-4 hours early...so...that should help...
