Trip Planning

#1 Postby Seele » Thu Jul 07, 2005 12:29 pm

Hey all, been trying to keep posted about this storm on vacation in Wichita Falls, TX. We were planning to leave Saturday to head back to Atlanta via I-20. After looking at the NHC's predicted path, I'm worried that if we leave Satuday, we'll hit MS & AL sometime Saturday night and might be stuck in evacuation traffic. This is realistic threat and would leaving Friday be better?

Thanks all.

I-20 keeps you pretty far inland.

I don't know... not sure it'll be too big of a problem. I doubt traffic will be "that" bad as in bumper-to-bumper since I-20 is over 200 miles inland.

Yeah, if you were taking I-10 i'd wish you much luck. I think you'll be fine.

I'm suppose to go to Baton Rouge Saturday for an outdoor event. I'm not going if going to be inudated with rain. Will Dennis rainbands be affecting Baton Rouge Saturday evening?
