With a couple of new frames in the loop, that was probably a jog.

On its present course, it goes just east of NOLA, into MS (Diamondhead to Biloxi) and on inland.

I don't know man I just keep updateing that loop and it just keeps going right....

The NHC is right - it's moving at about 010 degrees

ya i see what you mean i watch the visible loop and focus on the eastern edge of the storm and you can clearly see she has started her eastern turn

I think it's a given that this thing's not going to bug off to somewhere like Tampa or Tallahassee, but Pensacola is very much in play. This is probably only a stair-step, happens all the time. I've changed my mind again....MS instead of LA.

Real weird Kev. but it's not raining that hard here. It's been drizzle all day, and we got 4 noticable rainbands (maybe total +/- 1").

For everyone else, follow recon messages (coming quickly on the Cindy Recon thread) and you'll see where the true center is. The radar is showing a dry slot, not an eye. The band above it is moving between 10-15 degrees (NNE true is 22.5).

Anyway, where's the real center. This IR loop (and I never use IR to follow centers) is kind of interesting. Did Cindy maybe spit out a mesovortex or something?

looks to me like its going NNE,although its circulation and the way its wrapping up is makinng it look mor ENE

I'm going with NHC at 010º, including some wobble room and a "2nd" landfall very close to Ocean Springs or Pascagoula.

The impacts on Pensacola will be much greater than I thought,especially if it starts turning NNE/NE now.We could get winds a little stronger than what we experienced with Arlene.

For some reason they quit updating the long-range radar. You can pick it up on short-range now.
