Tropical Weather Outlook

Statement as of 5:30 PM EDT on June 30, 2005

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...

A large area of cloudiness and thunderstorms over the central and
southwestern Caribbean Sea is associated with a westward moving
tropical wave and a weak surface trough. This system remains
disorganized and significant development is not expected.
Tropical storm formation is not expected through Friday.

That system looks good on SAT, but it does not look like anything will form out there in the short term as pressures are not falling much if at all. Something to watch though
