At the tail end of another post, it was brought up that the Atlantic Ridge may not be as strong as first predicted. Is this true?
What are the ramifications to it being weeker than thought?

Finally an answer, thanks Brent!
I believe that is part of the reason it seems to have stalled(or whatever the heck it did this morning) and is now finally moving faster.
I'm not completely sold on a NW turn, but it will defintely not go inland farther east than the Western Panhandle. It's already got enough westward motion for that.
FWIW: It's already with the longtitude of Apalachicola so it would have to move east of due north to go east of there.

I was on a MS/AL landfall but now i'm going with the panhandle, probably east of Pensacola around Ft Walton. That would mean that a lot of people that are under T.S warnings/Hurricane watches would actually end up on the weak side.I guess we'll see.
