I got a virus off Kazaa once and was installing it--It said I had to reboot the PC and start in Safe mode.
Do not install any program in safe mode as your virus scan does not run in safe mode... It then told me to reboot and it kept rebooting to the winxp black screen-then would shut down and reboot over and over. One thing that is nice is with Dell, you dont have installation disks to scratch or loose as you hit just CTRL+F11 at startup and it restores everything to out-of-the-box new from a secret partition in the Hard Drive.

I did have a question I use Mcaffee anti virus-and did a scan last nite and it was completed in less than 30min--I checked and it is set to scan every file on the pc (it counted 70,000 files scanned). My last pc took hours to scan for viruses no matter what AV I used and so I usually just scheduled it to do so in the middle of the nite. Does this mean Mcaffee is not as good/thorough? The old pc was a 7GB HD took hours and now I scan a 40GB HD and its done in 30 min--should take like all day or at least as long as the old one IMHO but i dunno.
