Water temperatures are marginally favorable. They are around 75, so some subtropical development is possible. However, upper level winds are fairly strong...

on the visible loop...convection has wrapped almost completely around the center. 75deg is, certainly, a bit nippy..however, never say never....rich

Anything is possible...remember this has been an unusual season, but given the marginal SST's I feel that, despite the sattelite presentation that this is a cold core system that has occluded and is becoming cut off from its parent frontal system.
