I love sunsets and sunrises at the beach. I just got back from Nags Head yesterday. Boy am I sad because I had to leave those beautiful Outer Banks! I was there for four beautiful days with my singles group friends! I did not want to leave! It was quite chilly for the OBX in October, highs in the upper 60s, lows near 50, dewpoints near 48 degrees, but it was nice and sunny with a few high, thin cirrus clouds. The surf was unbelievable, my friends and I spent five glorious hours in the surf, body surfing as some of the waves topped 6 feet! The sand was full of multi-colored shells, many of which had beautiful multi-hued patterns on them! My travel bag was heavy as heck because I brought so many of them home with me!!!
There is nothing quite as nice as standing on the balcony in the morning, breathing in fresh morning sea air and taking in a spectacular beach sunrise!!! We had the seagulls, the fresh salt air, the sea spray and fresh coffee with breakfast and I had all my cherished friends there with me!!!!

There were over 40 in our group! We literally took over three beach cottages for four days at Milepost 14.5 in Nags Head. Man did we ever have such a great time!!!
NOW I understand why people live on the beach in Florida!!
The heck with the 'canes! I want to live there too!!! I want my beach sunrises and sunsets!! I love the beach!!
