First about tropical storm Matthew this system has been in stages of weakening and being a little more strong but regardless about intensity to a TD or a TS rain is the main threat to the areas that already haved seen it.Flash floods can be expected as the system moves inland with also some gusty winds in some of the squalls. Also be aware that some tornadoes can form in other words dont focus on the center only because this system has a large area of rain.
The area of low pressure in the northcentral atlantic has enough organization to be classified as a subtropical storm Nicole. It is moving NNW at around 12 mph and the island of Bermuda for the past several hours has seen heavy rains and gusts to over 40 mph. This system is expected to move northward to the canadien maratimes and become extratropical by then.
