HIGH SEAS WEATHER WARNING FOR METAREA 10 ISSUED BY THE
AUSTRALIAN BUREAU OF METEOROLOGY TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING
CENTRE PERTH AT 1658UTC 5 APRIL 2003

HURRICANE WARNING FOR THE WESTERN AREA

Please be aware, wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the
averages given here, and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.

SITUATION
Severe Tropical Cyclone Inigo with central pressure 930hPa located at 1600UTC
within 15 nautical miles of
Latitude fourteen decimal six south [14.6S]
Longitude one hundred and twelve decimal nine east [112.9E]
moving south west at 2 knots.

AREA AFFECTED
Within 110 nautical miles of the centre.

FORECAST
35/50 knot winds clockwise around the centre with very rough to high seas, heavy
swell, increasing to 50/60 knots with phenomenal seas and heavy swell within 40
nautical miles of the centre. Winds increasing to 60/100 knots within 25
nautical miles of the centre, easing to 60/85 knots by 0400UTC 06 April.

At 0400UTC 06 April 15.3 south 112.7 east 950hPa
At 1600UTC 06 April 16.2 south 112.9 east 960hPa

Next warning issued at 2300 UTC 05 April 2003
