The right tip of this cold tongue is already appearing on surface SSTA maps off Peru. The area of warm anomalies (El Nino-driven) is gradually fading. This is just more evidence that EL Nino is nearly gone, and a La Nina may be slowly taking its place.

More strong evidence that el nino wont be present during the hurricane season but instead la nina will be there and that alone will be favorable for an active and dangerous season.
