We evacuated from Destin and have not been able to find out any info on damage to the area. Has anyone heard anything? Thanks!

Only news report I've found so far is:

"U.S. 98 is underwater in Destin"

(From the Palm Beach Post)

From what I've heard, the parts underwater of 98 are Okaloosa Island (some very low areas through Air Force land) and west of Hurlburt field.

Holiday Island is inaccessable according to 3. No surprise since a good chunk of it is a cat 1/2 surge zone.

No word on when Mid Bay bridge is open again. We're still getting strong wind gusts in BWB.

Reporter from 3 on talking about Okaloosa Island. There's damage and surge, but eyewitnesses say damage was not as severe as Opal.

No reports on Destin proper yet.
