This is the model I was showing some of you the other day. It is run at 4-km resolution (very high res) at NCAR, and this is it's version of radar reflectivity. Ivan makes landfall on the MS delta then heads north for the MS coastline by 1 a.m. central time.

How far does this model run out, and what does it look like in regards to potential stalling over Eastern Tenn/Western NC?

The high resolution only allows them to run it out to 48 hours because it is very taxing on their supercomputers. It takes Ivan slowly northward then NE from there but you can't really tell what happens afterwards. By Thursday afternoon Ivan is in west-central AL.
