... is pretty much empty now?

Please please please - if anyone out there is from DI, please keep us informed of the condition of the island.

My parents are planning on spending the month of October down there, and it will be nice to know what's left of it after Ivan visits.

I have plans to be there to celebrate my 40th birthday in a litte over three weeks!!

If the current forecast track holds up... Dauphin Island will take an absolute beating.

Won't be the first time---Dauphin Island will be back in no time--beautiful down there...I spent some time at Gulf Shores about 6 weeks ago--always enjoy Gulf Shores.

Also, Sean noticed the bouy ABOUT 175-200 miles west of Ivan reporting gusts to 52 MPH. You only 125 from mobile. Like I said it is going to be rough in New Orleans Tonight/Thursday.

di is one of those places that doesnt need to be there, it floods just on thunderstorms, im afraid the island will be gone after this thing, which isnt a good thing considering i fish down there all the time, and all the people who just had alot of homes built down there, i feel sorry for them
