Dunno about you guys, but it seems as though things are heating up again in the eastern Atlantic.

Cool--anybody think we have a shot of beating 1995? or even making it through the list--we got 2 1/2 months left--we could be in the middle a historical season 8-) If nothing else with the landfalls and majors--this season has to be one for the recordbooks somehow IMHO already

I see two more behind TD #11. The one off the coast looks scary. But isn't the season over for that part of teh Atlantic as far as developement?

It's getting stupid now, I say let'em roll we can't stop them. This season will always be remembered, lets have some fun out of a $^^## situation for everyone.

You know, the AVN model from yesterday predicted we'd have 5 active tropical systems going in a couple of days. Ivan, Javier, the new T.D., another system west of Africa, and a big wave coming off Africa and spinning up real fast. I thought it was amusingly optimistic at the time -- all of those lows spinning around looked kind of funny in the animation. Not so sure now!
