There are some relatively cooler spots in the path of Ivan, perhaps this
will contrubite to some weakening as he appreaches the coast.

They're warmer than what he was in 2 days ago, and he didn't seem to mind those temps too much.

Central Gulf Buoy is currently reporting a water temp of 85......MGC

Most of those "relatively" cool spots are 84 instead of 86... except for the far NE Gulf.

That's not going to weaken the storm much. If shear and dry air don't show up... look out.

84 is still pretty warm to me. I don't think it matters if it comes in at a Cat 4 or Cat 5, it's still going to do a lot of damage wherever it decides to go.
