This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Interesting what is happening with hurricane Javier which is intensifying rapidly at the eastern pacific. The question is if the outflow from it will affect Ivan once Ivan moves into the GOM.

The Quastion should be will Ivan distory Javier? Javier is very small in if Ivan moves to the west Ivans outflow is going to distory/weaken Javier???

Javier is no match to Ivan...In Javier is not even on the same class as Ivan...

He said Javier is very small and if ivan moves to the west more, Ivan's outflow is going to destroy/weaken Javier.

It is usually the system to the west that shears the one to the east. Isis shearing Earl, which was a larger systenm, in 1998 was a perfect example of that

One scenario that sounds similar to this is in 2000. Powerful Hurricane Keith in the Caribbean sheared weak and small Olivia in the EPAC.
