low in MO heading SE ... any influence?
Just out of curiosity -- is that ULL diving to the SE in the Missouri area going to have any influence on Ivan? My thought would be that it would reinforce/give more "oomph" to the troughing already apparent in the NW Gulf. If my amateur skills are right (and please, professional mets, help me out if not), it appears to be a shortwave rather than longwave trough, so it wouldn't be anything nearly as deep as the trough that sent Charley packing NNE. But seems like it could be a player if it gets far enough S.
