Do you think the NHC uses regression analysis on all the forecast models to aid in their forecast track?

Wouldn't that negate the strength of some models over the weaknesses of other? TPC must have their favorites (say the FSU Supercomputer?)

I read where the FSU Superemsemble was a complilation of vaious models with the hitches and niches straightened out. I wouldn't call it regression, but something along those lines.
