Is Ivan getting new glasses right now?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Looking at the IR, Ivan looks to be rubbing his eye a little. Could it be?...then intensify again?

concentric eyewall replacment maybe?
figures since it probably could only maintain that small eye for so long w/o going thru one.

Nope. He is hitting the South American flow off the landmass as represented in shear. Surprised the heavyweights in here are missing such an obvious change. This is why the Caribbean is unfavorable for storms.

Ivan will chew it up and spit it out just like the desert dust...

Oh yeah, forgot to mention he is starting to pull-up too...

Looks primarily west with slight touch of north and moving VERY quickly.

It has been tracking a very slight northward movement between 07/0300z and 08/300z, but there may have just been a wobble to the north.
