Conversion Question

Could someone tell me the mathematical formula for converting knots into mph?

multiply by 15 percent and you will be very close!

You are all very welcome. I love that it involves no thinking or computation whatsoever. Just type away and there you have it! After a while you will start memorizing all of the conversions anyway....or at least the important numbers.

multiply by 1.15

i.e

100 kts = 115 mph.
