showed size of Frances side by side next to charley , wow what a difference.

if they had shown how Charley would have fit inside the outer eyewall of Typhoon Chaba as it approached Japan, now THAT would have been impressive.

Big differece Charley had hurricane force winds with in 20 miles of its 5 mile wide eye. So if you would went to put it this way 25 miles wide area of hurricane force winds. This thing as 80 miles of hurricane force winds with a 30 mile wide eye that equals 110 miles of hurricane force winds. This storm also has 185 miles outwards of tropical storm force winds plus the 30 miles of the eye is 215 miles. As for a hurricane like Floyd it had a 50 mile wide eye at one time with hurricane force winds outwards 120 something miles which equal 170 miles of hurricane force winds. That equals think god that it weakened before it hit land. With Frances it will not weaken because it is going to stay over warmer water.
