TWC has just reported that the hurricane hunters have reported an 8 milibar DROP in pressure...

Means the storm is deepening and probably strengthening

Yeah ... looking at the latest IR images, the eye is more regular - nearly circular - and the coldest tops are ringing the whole center again.

Definitely getting stronger.

Many times pressure drops do not reflect immediately with a wind speed increase, but it will come soon enough. 948mb is perfectly lined up with 135mph, anything less than that is real trouble. Andrew hit at 922mb I believe.
