I am NE of Orlando, outside of Sanford. Our local forecast just said with the current track they expect landfall around Vero Beach on Sat afternoon. He was very clear that there is a variance of about 350 miles to either side of the storm though. Said by Wednesday, we will really be monitering it very closely...(as if they aren't already!) Any comments from the professionals?

Hmmm, that is not to reassuring! LOL...but I do understand what you are saying. This is the first time I have really paid this much interest to a hurricane, with the aftermath of Charley and all. This board has been a great help, and the closer it gets to the states, the better in agreement everyone that knows their stuff seems to be!
There for a while yesterday I thought my head would explode with all the different opinions!! Thanks for the quick reply.
