NW Wobble!

#1 Postby Derecho » Mon Aug 30, 2004 8:38 am

(Normally wouldn't post on a wobble, but am doing so in the interest of board balance.)

NW movement over the last hour.

The warp in the space-time continuum NE of the Carribean continues, as Frances continues to gain latitude despite being observed moving due W and wobbling WSW continously since yesterday by legions of sharp-eyed BB observers.

Well...Like this is a new subject..LOL.. Tracking these systems visually through Sattelite is not reliable at all..Not when you have real factual data like recon, bouys, surface obs..It's kinda funny..I have been lambasted over this issue before....it can be very frustrating..for both sides..it's just not so obvious to the untrained eye..

This is something that has amazed me since getting involved with weather on the internet..

The amount of disrespect for meteorologists and the science..

The vast mojority of the people who post here don't understand the basics physics of a cloud or wind and yet continually overstep and think they can forecast/predict/interprete the weather..that is soo friggin halarious..imho

I truely believe you have to learn to crawl before walk..What I mean by that is..so much of the imformation we get is processed for your viewing pleasure that we forget the Facts and skip over reading/interpreting the factual data that is available..myself included..it's not easy so much is put in candy form for the public..

If you think looking at that Sattelite is giving any really reliable data..you are way wrong..They have people that interpret Sattelite data for a living..Many of them..It's not easy..I am not pointing fingers at all..just a note about arguing Sattelite data and facts..

Ohh the Wobbles..........ugh..
