What about this third system???

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

What about this third system???

#1 Postby Rieyeuxs » Sat Aug 28, 2004 1:38 pm

Can anybody give be any links on Sat pic, forcasts, or models links on the possible TD 8? Gaston and Frances may be hogging the show, but I was wondering what impact this other system may have on the other two...

You don't have to worry about that black line. That is extrapolated, meaning if the cyclone would continue on its path, that's what it would to. You shouldn't worry about this too much, though keep your eye on Gaston...

AHHH I see. Thank you!

Yeah, looks as if we should start preparing for a visit from Gaston. Geez, we just got the yard cleaned up from Charley.

Aww, sorry to hear Charley paid you a bad visit. Did you get much from Alex or Bonnie?

Mostly just some rain and some wind from the first two, but Charley was stronger than expected.

We got Charley's eye (well, what was left of it -- and we got what was left of the eyewall winds). We were actually outside starting to pick up the yard when suddenly the wind whipped up and it got very dangerous to be standing under trees.

That was my second time actually being in the eye - we went out during the eye of Isabel as well -- drove around the neighborhood quickly to assess damage. That time, though, we knew it was the eye so we hurried back.
