Minor Model Map Changes

#1 Postby Scott_inVA » Sat Aug 28, 2004 7:32 am

Don't know about anyone else, but I'm having a hard time looking at the maps I'm doing

With the next updates, the background will change to lighter colors in an attempt to make reading models and TPC forecasts easier. Also have heard from some who fax or print the map (man, I oughta be charging for this ;) ) so lighter colors should help.

If you visit don't freak with the new color scheme. Comments welcome.

Thanks
Scott

Your site

#2 Postby FloridaDawn » Sat Aug 28, 2004 8:13 am

Scott,

I would love to visit your site, but for some reason whenever I try, my computer completely freezes up. Does anyone else have this problem? Your site is the only one I seem to have a problem with. Any clues why? :(

Have had the same problem for along time now..It was fine just after the recent move..but they added some ProScroll thingy that I would guess is causing the problem..I even had the problem after formating the HD and I do that stuff for a living..

Hi Dawn,

first make sure you have recently used Windows Update.

If you're using IE and hanging on ProScroll your browser needs a quick tweak.

go to Tools|Internet Options|Advanced
scroll down to Microsoft VM

make sure there is a check to the left of:
JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled [requires restart]
Click Apply, OK. Close IE, restart and it should work fine. This is a Microsoft/Sun issue.

Haven't heard java complains about the site on Netscape or Firefox.
Let me know if that helps
