Just A curious question

#1 Postby STORMSURGE » Fri Aug 27, 2004 11:51 pm

Some have mentioned the possible effect of TD7s westward movement on the future of Francis. Given that everyone has taken TD7 westward from the start, does the southern jog of TD7 over the last 8 hours have any effect on the general thinking?

Not unless this motion continues for several days. TD7/Gaston in the making should be inland by sometime Sunday and on a track back to the NE with any weakness in the ridge he has created already built back in and reinforced long before Frances gets close enough to feel it.

being an amateur observer, I could see TD 7 affecting the georgia coastline first then curving out to sea rather than affecting the carolina coastline directly. given that, if the ridge is strong enough, causing a 360 effect later. make any sense?
