Any chance of a possible recurve of this thing? Looks like the troughs that were around in July and August have abondoned us. If it has to hit anywhere the best case scenario would appear to be around North Carolina. I definately wouldn't want to see them get hit , but it seems like at least if it hits up there it would have a better chance to run into less favorable conditions and maybe weaken somewhat. I guess we can only hope and pray for a fish
Seems like alot of the hurricanes we get here in Fl are so intense. 1926, 1928, 1935, 1947, 1949, 1960, Andrew, Opal, Charley. All of these qualify as some of the worst storms on record. I guess being at a lower latitude here in FL and favorable upper air currents are the reason. Is this correct?
Any thoughts?
