TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
1030 AM EDT MON AUG 23 2004

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE REMNANT CIRCULATION OF DANIELLE...CENTERED ABOUT 875 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF THE AZORES ISLANDS...HAS BECOME A LITTLE BETTER
ORGANIZED DURING THE PAST 12 HOURS. SHOWERS AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS HAVE REDEVELOPED NEAR AND TO THE EAST OF THE CENTER
AND...IF THIS TREND CONTINUES...REGENERATION INTO A TROPICAL
DEPRESSION COULD POSSIBLY OCCUR DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO AS THE
SYSTEM MOVES NORTHWEST TO NORTHWARD AT 10 MPH.

A LARGE TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED A FEW HUNDRED MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE
CAPE VERDE ISLANDS IS MOVING WESTWARD AT ABOUT 10 MPH. CONDITIONS
APPEAR SOMEWHAT FAVORABLE FOR SOME SLOW DEVELOPMENT TO OCCUR OVER
THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
TUESDAY.

Oh wow this storm just doesn't want to die does it!!!!

If it's moving westwards I presume it could yet again become a tropical storm...or even a hurricane if the shear keeps off????

This is going to Europe riight?? I havent been watching danielle---but I think it is last I heard. Has europe ever been hit by a true tropical cyclone (not including extra-tropical)?

Not quite . Dog reached 185 MPH (160 kts winds sustained) and remained that way for 18 hours before weakening ... it was also a CAT 5 for 54 consecutive hours ..
