Tropical Weather Outlook
Statement as of 11:30 am EDT on August 16, 2004
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Danielle...located in the eastern tropical Atlantic about 915
miles west-northwest of the Cape Verde Islands.
Tropical Storm Earl has degenerated into an open tropical wave
located in the central Caribbean Sea. Advisories are discontinued
unless regeneration occurs.
An area of clouds and thunderstorms is centered about 300 miles
south-southeast of the Cape Verde Islands and is associated with a
westward-moving tropical wave. Some slow development is possible
during the next few days.
Elsewhere...tropical storm formation is not expected through
Tuesday.

I agree 100% the wave off of Africa is a September
(O.K maybe late Aug.) problem if at all. The main area to
watch now and the remainder of this week is the remanents
(wink wink
) of Earl.
