Earl going to the Yucatan
All early evidence points to Earl heading for the Yucatan peninsula. It is starting off at an extremely low latitude, the ridge is building west into the Caribbean, and no troughs appear to be headed into latitudes further south than 30-35N. I still think it will be our next major hurricane, as it is becoming well organized in a region that is atypical for development. Once it gets past the Yucatan, the western Gulf states of US and Mexico will be targeted.

That's a possibility, for sure, it will have less time to organize so the damage will not be catastrophic as if it continues WNW toward the Yucatan Peninsula.
